I just wanna say one sentence for Barfi - a heart-touching, rib-tickling and mind-blowing movie, with awesome performance from Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. I went to see the movie with very high expectation and it did not fail at all. I will not tell the story or anything of the movie, just what I found so good about the movie. But, I will start with what I found not so good in the movie. This movie can be said to be another movie portraying main character as happy-go-lucky, a love triangle, parents against love etc just like a dozen other movies. And comic scenes looked inspired from Charlie Chaplin movies. The multiple parallel timeline storytelling was switching over too fast early in the movie (but later was positive). And the rest of things (good things) now follow. Firstly the songs. All beautiful. So melodious, that it can he heard over and over again. Also my eagerness/enthusiasm/keenness to watch the movie increased when I watched its Video songs. Beautif...

Sometimes i feel awed by the way Shopping habits have changed over the last two decade of my life. I remember when i was a kid, we used to go shop on Thursdays. Not that we had holiday on Thursdays but we lived at a small place Korba and the market (vendors) used to come on Thursdays only. It was "Buy when available". And then some time mid way the shopping habit again changed. Items were available round the clock and round the calender. And it was "Shop when u want". And now with the avdent of online shopping and sites like snapdeal, crazeal, timesdeal etc. The shopping is now "Shop when there is a deal". This i consider as a great change for many (including me). Because u may or may not need the item (most cases it is the latter) still we buy the deal. We delay or prepone the purchase to buy during deal. It also makes one feel that he has payed more whenever he buys from a "brick and mortar" store.

Yesterday I would remember for two reasons, One I helped (or at least I believe I helped) a friend at office to have a better day and secondly learned never be taken back by failure - twice. So this is what it was. One of my good friend's birthday was yesterday. So I thought to make it better. She likes my home cooked pasta. My Plan: I thought that I would make Pasta for lunch which she and rest of my team loves very much. (I even got an offer to open a pasta shop in patnership). And since I bring lunch to office pretty often, so to make it more special I will make breakfast also. I decided to make a mix sprout salad for breakfast, which I remember she liked when I made it the last time. I also took some 'Ferrero Rocher' as additional ammunition. I woke up early morning (so that I am finished cooking well before my morning gym time). While I made the sprout salad as I desired, the Pasta turned out to be not quite to my liking (or in other words almost disaster. I bla...

It seems that last year has been very good for song lovers with not only a quality songs but songs with versatility as well. There is a song for every occasion, every emotion. Here are a few songs that I find apt for the fore said situations. 1. Stress Buster If u are feeling stressed and depressed and do not know what to do, this song is the best stress buster I have found. Song: Dil Dhadakne Do Movie: ZNMD 2. Venting your anger Similarly, if you are feeling angry and need to vent out your anger then go to a sound proof room/ very open area  and sing this song in the loudest possible way. If you wanna bow to anyone, it should be Time. The importance of time i am geeting to know only as it is passing by. According to ecomonics a resource is defined as something which can has more than one utility. And hence time come out as the only resource with so many diff ways that it can be utilized. Tilk engineering college time, we have so much time and almost nothing to do. We do not value time so much. This time should be utlized in doing things that would later take up our more presious time and maybe money. Like for eg i had my Passport prepared when i was in 6th semester and saved my time and money of now. During my MBA days i used regret the fact that evryone has to sleep. Sleep seems such a waste of time. Post MBA i got into habbit of watching movies. I used to watch every movie. But that too now seems such a waste of time. Time it seem now, should be utlized in things that would develop us or make the world a better place to be. Everything else is just lying to ourself...

If i have to summarize the movie in one sentence this would be it - Two awesome songs one Ok movie. First I would like to point out the few negatives because a whole lot of positives are there. Don't go with very high expectations. If you go with even medium expectations you would love the movie. The bad parts were a bit slow middle part where you wish the movie would end soon. The second negative in my case was the theater. A hell lot of trailers and advertisements was enough deal breaker that too loud sound that made my head ache was not required. But if you keep aside this, it is a good movie. The direction was very good. And I suppose everyone could relate to any particular situation of one or the characters. Those who say it is a copy of the movie What happened in Vegas are totally confused. Some of the best things in the movie is the novel attempt to show things.
